OBVIOUSLY the amazing Mr. Hendrix. As for Cobain, were I to come upon him lying in the street, on fire, I wouldn't even urinate on him unless I'd just been drinking gasoline. His utter ineptitude is a disgrace to every left-handed guitarist ever born.

Hendrix hands down. I grew up listening to Nirvana as well. Kurt was a tremendous songwriter and one hell of a performer, but Hendrix was the full package. Tremendous songwriter, performer, and arguably the greatest guitarist of all time.

I saw Hendrix at the Chislehurst caves in 1967 and he was a great guitarist and songwriter compared to Cobain.

Cobain absolutely sucked live. He was always whacked out on something - most Nirvana shows degenerated into chaos.

The only people I want to see live are people with energy and great talent. Considering the fact that I can play guitar better than Kurt Cobain and songs far more complex than his 4 chord songs, I'd rather see Jimi Hendrix.
