It wasn't an act of treason. Something akin to treason would be like if a US President was on foreign soil, dissed the US intelligence community and believed someone like Putin. :)

Treason means giving aid and comfort to an enemy in wartime. Giving Trump the bird does not directly give aid. It's a form of speech. Ever hear of the First Amendment?

Treason is defined in the Constitution as things like starting a war against the country. Simply hating the country is not treason.
