Are online degrees really worth anything?

People pay a lot to online schools. I have a BHS from an online college (TUI University).

The last job interview I had they looked at it funny and questioned it. Maybe it was the school I picked.

Bachelor's in Health Science? Then you have NO labs for your science courses! Stupid move.

Trident University International? That's a for-profit commercial venture. While it is accredited, it is little known, not particularly well regarded. Stupid move.

Even if you earned really good grades, your lack of really challenging science courses with labs is a severe handicap. Bachelor's in Health Sciences is not all that great a degree even from a respected university, and not especially useful in finding a job without some sort of graduate-level program beyond that (e.g. health care administration). You failed to do your homework before choosing a school & program, and you've probably shot yourself in the foot.

What on earth were you aiming to do with such a degree to begin with? Time for some serious reevaluation about how to move forward - AFTER you decide where you really want to go!

Online doesn't matter. The fact that you went to a for-profit school is very bad.

It all depends on the job you're looking for, whether the interviewer thinks your personality and background are right for the job, whether the interviewer is an educated snob, and other factors that depend a lot on pure dumb luck. Keep looking for work. It's like fishing.
