How to apply for a job when you been a stay at home mother for a couple years.?

It is typically very difficult to get back into the workforce when you have been out for any extended period for any reason. You need to emphasize what you can DO for an employer, all your skills, attributes, etc. And if you have, say, computer skills, accounting skills, even typing/word processing, you need to demonstrate your skills are up-to-date. E.g. accountants need to show they have kept up with changes in accounting software, tax law, etc. Typing speed & accuracy. Etc. You may find taking a course will help you get back up to speed, even improve over where you left off.

You also need to show that you are utterly reliable, reliable transportation, etc.

Apply for entry level positions.

Learn all you can on any job you may get.

And then work like the dickens to advance yourself.

Online in most cases. Under previous jobs, post your timeline, in job description to be discussed at interview, reason for leaving be honest.

This happens to a lot of people. Be honest. Tell them what your skills are and go from there. Lots of places want more mature employees.
