Just typing “helped somebody do something” into Google Search box, you get 228 results.
If you change the text to “helped somebody to do something”, you only get 1 results.
Just typing “helped them do the same” into Google Search box, you get 172,000 results.
If you change the text to “helped them to do the same”, you only get 2 results.
This is a proof that uses “do – infinitive without to” instead of “to do – infinitive with to” after the verb “help” in similar sentences.
