My son's old laptop is cluttered up and really slow, want to factory reset it so my daughter can use it.
I just want to wipe everything and just have Windows on it.
It's currently running Windows 7.
Any ideas?

Many computers come with a backup of windows in a separate partition for just that purpose. If there is a drive D, that's likely what is on it. You may need to go to vendor website for details on doing this.

maker's website probably will sell you a cd/dvd to do this for about 15 bucks. note that the resulting version of windows will require your existing serial number and the updates to modern may require three days to download an install
