Assuming the initial velocity was all horizontal, then the time it took to fall can be found using
h = ½at² (because there is no vertical component):

t = √(2h / a) = √(2 * 5m / 9.8m/s²) = 1.01 s
and so
Vx = d / t = 47.7m / 1.01s = 47.2 m/s ◄
