Last active time not showing up on Facebook for friend?

The last active time next to one of my friends is not showing up next to their name anymore on messenger or chat. They're still my friend on FB. What does that mean when it disappears suddenly like that?

They either have there Chat Turned off or they dont use Messenger anymore

that means they turned off their chat, stopped using messenger, or they are hiding just from you - you can still send them a message tho
