Do you give a damn about college?

If you want to leave, you should not waste another second. Each semester you stay, you are going to add up thousands of dollars in your loans. It sounds hard to go out and do what you really want, but it really isn't hard at all. Don't waste another day living someone else's dream. People go to college because everyone expects them to. It's really hard to live the life you want. And people will judge you hardcore for it. But you never know, tomorrow could be your last day on earth. Don't waste time doing something you don't want to do. You will regret all that lost time when your clock runs out!

Then leave.
You don't need to rant on about it.
Get a job and try working

Nobody cares about your future except you. You can't expect professors to mommy & daddy you. You're supposed to be grown up now & have developed your own internal support & motivation.

This is life, and college helps prepare you for it. Your bosses won't be particularly personally interested in you; they'll just want you to get the work done, and sometimes they will pile it on.

Professors have a lot of students, they can't take a personal interest in every one, so they'll usually reserve that interest for students who are talented in their fields, who make an effort to see them and ask questions or for help if necessary. Otherwise, the professor's job is to give you work that will help you learn and practice the material. YOUR job is to get it done.

However, if you're not coping, then a cerebral career may not be for you. Consider whether your talents lie in another direction. Perhaps you should be doing a vocational course or an apprenticeship.

If you don't give a damn about college, college won't give a damn about you.

It is a bad idea to go to college without either clear vision of how college will help you to achieve what you want to achieve. Or have a passion and college is the best place where you can learn more about that passion.

If you have neither you should just get a job and get as varied work experience as you can get in order to try out what you think you'd like to do. College is not the best option for everybody. An apprenticeship in a trade can be financially short and long term a much better deal.

I would suggest you finish your semester as good as you can (you are not getting any money back anyway). And use the time to plan to get a full time job to support yourself. And in addition it would be a good idea if you volunteer wherever you can in order to get a perspective of different fields. Even volunteering for something like habitat for humanity could pay off.

Try figuring out what you actually would like to do. Is there anything you are actually good at?

I love college man.

College is the biggest scam of the USA. You will get your education, but the job in your field isn't promised. Regardless you'll end up owing thousands for student loans.

Stop procrastinating. And maybe you picked the wrong college and do not like your major. Or do not have a clear career plan.

College is not for everyone. I would recommend that you seek a different path. Hopefully, you will be able to find something more fulfilling.

I dropped out during my second year. Went to Europe and travelled the world. No regrets, on the contrary. Just great. Cheers! 🙂
