Let x,y -- %tage of alcohol in solutions A and B respectively

Thus,
{ 3x+2y = 2 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .①
{ x+2y = 0.96 . . . . . . . . . . . . . ②

① - ②: 2x = 1.04
　　　　x = 0.52 = 52/100 = 52%

Put x = 0.52 into ② : 0.52 + 2y = 0.96
　　　　　　　　　　　　　2y = 0.44
　　　　　　　　　　　　　 y = 0.22 = 22/100 = 22%

∴ %tage of alcohol in solution A = 52%, and that in B = 22%

set A contains x % of alcohol, and B contains y% of alcohol
mixture P
[(x/100)*3+(y/100)*2]/5=40% ---> 3x+2y=200 .....(1)
mixture Q
[(x/100)*1+(y/100)*2]/3=32% ---> x+2y=96 .....(2)
