Is it early pregnancy or a miscarriage?

I just got tested for my hcg levels a little close to 4 weeks pregnant a few days ago, and they we re 260. But they couldn t see anything growing in an ultrasound. She said it could be because its just too early. Has anyone else had at hcg at that number or is it supposed to be higher? I haven t had any blood shown at all and i experience little cramps but noting painful.

4 weeks is far too early for anything to be visible on ultrasound. Not even clear why they tried.

Too little for the scan. I was six weeks with my first and they could barely make him out on the scan. Elevated hcg levels are the best indicator. You're going to get really fat lol. Congratulations

They knew you were only 4 weeks along, and still did an ultrasound?
There is only one possible reason why a competent doctor would do that: to send someone the bill. At 4 weeks nothing is exactly what you can expect to see on ultrasound.
As for your numbers: perfectly fine at this stage. Even a tenth of that would be perfectly fine at this stage.
