HCl(aq, x M) + aq → HCl(aq, y M)
where x M is the concentration of the original HCl concentration, and y M is the concentration of the diluted HCl solution.

For example, dilute a 1.0 M solution of HCl to 0.10 M :
HCl(aq, 1.0 M) + aq → HCl(aq, 0.10 M)

You really can't. HCl(aq) is all you can say; the rest is detailed in your experimental section.
