No one over 18 should be dating someone that is under 18.

Only if you are the one involved.

Well, this is the thing with my relationship. I'm only 16, but my boyfriend is 17. He'll be turning 18 in March of 2018 and I'll be turning 17 in June of 2018. As far as that type of scenerio goes, as long as you were dating the person before they aged 18, I think it should be fine. Personally, my dating range is three years older or one year younger and really, as long as both parents approve of the relationship, it doesn't matter how old or young you date someone as weird as that may sound. I would find it weird if someone didn't stick to the same dating range I'm in though. Maybe an extention to four years older wouldn't be so bad, but I mean, to me it just doesn't seem right any other way. I don't judge anyone who is into someone much, much older or younger than themselves because it isn't my place to, but y'know. Whatever bakes your potato.

Yes! age does matter due to the fact someone is over 18 and can face long term/ Life term side effects. Just wait till you're 18 to date other adults and you should be fine. I don't think anyone 10-16 ( 17 May be an Exception ) should be dating anyone over 18, you dont want to get the person you " Love" put in jail.
