1 mg = 10⁻⁶ kg

Energy change, E
= m c²
= (0.1 mg) × (3 × 10⁸ m/s)²
= (0.1 × 10⁻⁶ kg) × (3 × 10⁸ m/s)²
= 9 × 10⁹ J

The answer: C) 9 × 10⁹ J

E = mc^2

m is mass in kg
