What would happen to the calculated molar mass of an unknown metal carbonate if you did not rinse the precipitate off of your stir rod into the crucible while filtering? Would it be higher lower or unchanged? G

The calculated molar mass is directly proportional to the mass obtained in the crucible after filtering. If you did not rinse the precipitate off of the stirrer, some precipitate would stick on the stirrer. This causes the mass obtained in crucible is less than expected. The calculated molar mass would be lower.
