If the precipitate is not heated to constant mass, the precipitate is not completely dried and some water is still on surface of the precipitate. Therefore, the experimental mass reading would be higher than the actual mass of the precipitate.

As the mass obtained is directly proportional to the calculated molar mass, the calculate molar mass would be higher than expected.
