How much insulin would it take to kill you?
I would like to clarify that I am not trying to kill myself. I don't even take insulin. I just want to know how much is a lethal dose.

It all depends on what type of insulin you are taking, what your blood sugar levels are, and when you take it. If you do not eat, then run, and take a rapid acting insulin (like lispro for example) you can become severely hypoglycemic which is dangerous. However, if you eat a lot of fatty foods and then take something longer acting like Lantis that can also kill you because it doesn't work quickly enough. You should figure out what schedule works best for you with your doctor or nurse.
Let me guess...you're asking for a friend, right?
I'll call BS. There is no NEED for you to ask this. Even if there were, there are too many depressed kids on here.
Besides, I've seen patients taking safely amounts of insulin that would kill me.
Hard to say. For me...two units would do it if I hadn't eaten anything in a while.
But if I've indulged at Christmas...I can take 12 units and be fine.
24 oz will probably do the trick.
