A lot of people listen to the BBC News as they're not associated with the media ratings wars that American News Media is embroiled in.

Often times you can get more detailed information and less bias than local sources.

American new sources are heavily biased, towards the right, and not a trusted new source. SEVERAL news networks already been accused using fake news.
