I personally think coding camps are a little overrated. They are good to get you started quickly but they are not going to make you a solid professional and on the same level as someone who has been doing it for years. Some may argue me on that, but really think about it. They say it takes 10,000 hours to master something and you really can't fit that into 6 months of intensive training. You can learn a lot, but I really wish coding camps would stop telling people that they can jump right from 0 to 60 and into the labor market on one code camp. You need time to practice what you learn, find out what you don't know and learn different angles of the same material.
Again boot camps are a good source to get started, not a full authoritative be all to end all for a career in software development. Practice and hard work is what gets you there to a lifelong career.
