Pilonidal cyst follow up problem?

So today i was supposed to go for a follow up to get my wound dressed i had the surgery 3 weeks ago and have been going for follow ups since after every one day;When i went to the hospital my doctor transferred my case to another doctor since he had an important surgery to perform so i obliged and went to another doctor his office was right beside my doctor's office,so he packed my wound and said something like i would've preferred a different method;In detail my doctor performed cleft lift excision but the other doctor said that your cyst was supposed to be drained and after 2 weeks then it was to be operated,so i replied "so is it damaged"? He said that it has something like marginal(something) i didn't understand him he continued that he'll put it on report for my surgeon to see maybe its his way;my surgeon knew the problem and he said that "i will perform the cleft lift and perform the excision and after every 2 days you can either come to me or at home change the dressing there will be oozing but itll end as the tissues heal so you can heal quick and return back fully recovered",I went for a follow up to my doctor on tuesday he said the wound is fine. So should i be concerned?I checked my dressing an hour ago just for curiousity and there redness in an oval shape and some really white jelly between my crack above about the size of my pinky nail.
And my cyst was not infected.
