How do you define 'Fascism'?

A political system run by a dictator who puts all means of producing and distributing essential goods and services under the ownership and management of the central government.

Note this is very similar to socialism, but the main difference is that the political system is run by the people (e.g., elections) rather than a dictator.

This is why Hitler's party was called the National Socialists (Nazis), they continued to claim the government was run by the Deutschfolk, the people. Of course it wasn't it was run by Hitler.

"Fascism" has become a blanket term for any political philosophy you don't like. Doesn't matter if it's Left-wing or Right-wing.

Not that obvious to define. It's corporatist (in the sense of class collaboration), hierarchical, chauvinistic, and nationalistic. The rhetoric used in fascism is to mythologise one's nationhood and ethnicity, to assert superiority over others, and to also be seen as victims and be under siege by enemies--it is a paranoid and totalitarian ideology.
