Organic compounds are carbon-containing compounds with oxides and simple ionic compounds as exception. If a compound is not organic, it must be inorganic.

The products are zinc chloride solution and hydrogen gas. As they are not carbon-containing, the products are inorganic.

Zinc chloride solution is acidic, and its pH depends on the concentration. For example, the pH of 6 M zinc chloride solution is 1. Hydrogen gas is sparingly soluble in water to give a neutral solution (pH = 7).
