How possible will it be for my Thai girlfriend to make it to Canada?

I haven't seen my girlfriend in 2 years. At that time she was in Vientiane Laos, and day she left for Thailand was the day I left Laos. I was working in Korea at that time.

Now I still talk to her on the phone and on Facebook messenger. I have been back in Canada since November 2016 and I was unemployed for 9 months. I got a job teaching in Northern Ontario now.

My Thai girlfriend is a licensed certified Thai masseuse. There is a local Thai massage shop in this little town where I am living, but it's owned by one lady who sometimes has appointments in Sudbury, ON. I love to arrange a massage appointment with her and see if she is willing to sponsor my girlfriend's visa to work for her. Do you think that will be possible?

Your chances of having her VISIT Canada... pretty good. All she needs is a visa and she can come as a tourist here for about three months.

Your chances of her coming to LIVE and WORK here? Probably less likely.

You probably cannot sponsor her because you'd have to prove a long term relationship exists, and if you've only seen each other a few times and sent a few emails, texts, or had some Skype sessions, that's not a relationship that would likely qualify.

The women at this massage shop you go to may not need another employee, and even if she does she probably will not qualify to hire a foreign worker. She would have to prove that she advertised and was looking to hire someone in Canada before she would be allowed to hire from abroad.

If her job description falls under the NOC category of code 3232 (Natural Healing Practitioner), and her qualifications can be accredited in Canada, she might be able to get in under the federal skilled worker program.

My advice would be to have her take the survey on the CIC website and see if she would qualify to come to Canada. If the answer is yes, great. If the answer is "she MAY qualify", it could be a bit tricky but she might get in. If the answer was no, then don't let her waste her time trying.

Why should the owner of the shop risk her business for you?
This is a very valid question.
Sponsoring a person cost money. She will also be responsible for the person she sponsors. That includes financial and criminal aspects. So if your gf goes "robin hood" (you should know what that means) the sponsor is responsible. If you guys break up and you throw your gf out, the sponsor is responsible for her upkeep.
It will also affect any future sponsorships.
Plus you have to consider if it's financially viable to hire a new staff.

Honestly, if you only met her on holidays for a few days, a couple of weeks at most, and haven't made any effort to see her in 2years. You ain't serious. Tickets from Korea to Thailand isn't expensive.
Stop giving the girl false hope.

Sure, you can ask, but I don't think you're going to have any luck. People can sponsor a family member. Employers can sponsor people only under certain conditions. What makes you think this masseuse needs an employee? Someone being licensed and certified in Thailand probably means nothing in Canada. If she does therapeutic massage she would have to qualify to practice that in Ontario.
