No, your husband can't force you to sign, But your signature is not required to get divorced, it just makes it easier and less expensive if you do. By not signing your husband will have to sue you requiring you both to get a lawyer.

You BOTH had to agree to marry, right? He couldn't marry you without your consent, and vice versa. If you BOTH want to be in the marriage, you marry. If BOTH of you don't want to be in the marriage, then the marriage ends.

For a marriage to be successful, BOTH people have to want to be in it. Why be with someone who doesn't want to be with you? A divorce will set you free to find someone who DOES want to be with you, instead of being trapped in marriage to someone who doesn't want to be with you (and thus would probably not treat you very kindly).

I think it would be better if you asked a lawyer. If the lawyer needs to know the reason for the divorce, then you should be honest however embarrassing you find it (for example if your husband has a mistress he wants to marry.) As far as I know, the divorce just takes longer if one spouse does not want to sign the papers.
