What can I use my Pell grant money for?

You can use the money for any normal activities of living that enable you to attend school:
tuition
books
testing fees
rent
transportation
groceries
child care
to purchase a computer (if you are enrolled at least half time)
school supplies
food/groceries

It is supposed to be used for educational expenses like textbooks, tuition, and housing costs. But the government never checks how you used the money. So you can go buy a laptop or pretty much anything else you want to purchase.

it is a grant but you will not get more so save it for transportation to and from school. or a car and gas. IF you drop out for any reason you may have to pay it back.

You can use your refund or whatever you want

anything you want. It’s a loan.
