c)
The unbalanced equation : _NO + H₂ → _NH₃ + _H₂O

Step 1 : In order to make that there is 1 N on the both sides, assign "1" as the coefficient of NO and also "1" for that of NH₃.
1NO + H₂ → 1NH₃ + _H₂O

Step 2 : In order to make that there is 1 O on the both sides, assign "1" as the coefficient of H₂O.
1NO + H₂ → 1NH₃ + 1H₂O

Step 3 : In order to make that there are 5 H on the both sides, assign "5/2" as the coefficient of H₂.
1NO + (5/2)H₂ → 1NH₃ + 1H₂O

Step 4 : Multiply the equation by 2. The balanced equation is :
2NO + 5H₂ → 2NH₃ + 2H₂O

d)
The unbalanced equation: _H₂ + _O₂ → _H₂O

Step 1 : In order to make that there are 2 O on the both sides, assign "1" as the coefficient of O₂ and "2" as that of H₂O.
_H₂ + 1O₂ → 2H₂O

Step 2 : In order to make that there are 4 H on the both sides, assign "2" as the coefficient of H₂.
2H₂ + 1O₂ → 2H₂O

Hence, the balanced equation is :
2H₂ + O₂ → 2H₂O

(e)
The unbalanced equation: _Al + _O₂ → _Al₂O₃

Step 1 : In order to make that there are 6 O on the both sides, assign "3" as the coefficient of O₂ and "2" as that of O.
_Al + 3O₂ → 2Al₂O₃

Step 2 : In order to make that there are 4 Al on the both sides, assign "4" as the coefficient of Al. The balanced equation is :
4Al + 3O₂ → 2Al₂O₃

c)
NO + (5/2)H2 = NH3 + H2O =>
2NO + 5H2 = 2NH3 + 2H2O

d)
H2 + (0.5)O2 = H2O
2H2 + O2 = 2H2O

e)
Al + (3/2)O2 = (1/2)Al2O3
2Al + 3O2 = Al2O3
