The N.F.L. makes rules for just about everything in the league. Do they have a rule on what to do during the National Anthem yet?

Yes.
Here’s what the game operations manual says regarding the national anthem, according to an NFL spokesperson:
"The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses."
Already had one and kneeling went against it, but they let it go becouse they understood that it wasn't meant as disrespect to our country. That is, until it turned into a protest against Trump.
nope they are sticking their head in the sand
some teams have unofficial rules
Nope, and that's why fans are pissed off at Adolf Goodell and the maggots who own the teams.
The league can fine a player for wearing the "wrong" shoes, or for wearing a message in their eye black. It will fine and/or suspend players for hard hits on other players, or for deflating footballs, or for using banned drugs.
But players can sh!t on the flag and disrespect the very men and women who protect their rights, in a country where they can become millionaires simply by playing an insignificant game, and the league does nothing about it.
Because the league says that players have a right to freedom of speech.
But, get this, if a fan drops an n-bomb on one of these trained animals the league is considering banning them from attending games in the future. The NFL, apparently, doesn't think that freedom of speech is a right of the fans, so f*ck the Nigroid F*ckers League.
There are no rules for observing the national anthem, period. There are no laws or anything at all for that matter stating that you must stand and cross your heart and/or salute "or else!!!".
It is simply tradition to stand. These idiots kneeling for attention, I do agree, should be disciplined for causing the ruckuss they've made this whole thing out to be and disrespecting others, and our flag.
In my opinion they should be fired and deported out of the country.
They don't even have a stable reason for doing it other than they say they're doing it to show support for this or that or those or them reasons. Don't they have enough attention? They're on national TV serveral times a week and they're paid millions of dollars to chase a ball. Since they're not happy with it....excuse and remove them from having to do it and make them choose another profession, preferably in another country since they can't respect this one.
Maybe they can work in the fish market in Hong Kong chucking and butchering and selling fish, or work in a European McDonald's.
