I'm trying to write a thank you in Chinese and I think there are some grammar errors. Any corrections or suggestions?

去什么地方都不如回自己的家乡。(最 ==>这 or 最近)几天聊得、玩得、还有最重要吃得都非常好～我希望下次我们还有机会见，真幸苦了你们！
Good writing except one correction. 最近 means recent , 这几天 means these days. So 这几天 and 最近几天 are both fine, it’s interchangeable.
And家乡 is a term, basically means the place you was born or grew up while young, kind of not a very big area like Western America, but could be a big area like LA. And which mean you miss the scenery, culture, or foods that elsewhere doesn’t have.
You could omit the 乡，then it means you miss your family, the warmth and comfortable of your home.

最 is a word (adv) that can’t not be used without a adj – alone, to have a clear meaning. Normally it's combined with other word(s) to form a clear meaning.
Ex. 最大 – means the biggest
最遠 – means the most far away from here
最小 – means the smallest
最好 – the best
