Do you hate the assigned seating thing in most chain movie theatures now?

No, I love it. I love being able to reserve my seat from home. I no longer have to show up early for a chance at getting the seat I want - and then sit through a half hour of commercials and other crap.

It's also great for meeting friends at the movies. We no longer have to "save" seats or stand outside waiting for friends to show up.

well, whatever..-.....they don't do that here.....so never heard of that.

I love it. I love being able to pick out the exact seats I want, and not having to worry about them being taken.

I don't care about it one way or the other. I see no down side. But I do like the trend for movie theater seats to be more like comfortable arm chairs.
