What could be wrong with my car??????

When I take off from a stop my and press on the gas the rpm's will shoot up from 1 to 4 and act like I'm flooring it but the car doesn't move. Then it'll jerk and take off. I will be driving a steady speed and the rpm's will go up & down.
Everyone is saying it could be the transmission but we just paid over $2,000 last year and had the transmission replaced brand new.

Check the fluids. If that's not the issue, it might be electrical. If so, it might be as simple as replacing a fuse or resetting a circuit breaker. If you were willing to pay $2000 then a trip to the car shop again shouldn't hurt you. They have diagnostic tools most people don't have, and if it's the same shop, they might do it for free.

Go back to the place you had the transmission replaced. It's under warranty and you need another tranny. When an automatic transmission slips it's junk.

It's most likely the transmission. Leaking internal seals now allowing full hydraulic pressure to operate the clutches at normal engine speeds..

Check the transmission fluid, if it is low add some to see if it correct the problem. If not take it back to the mechanic that you paid to repair it.
