Why is prostitution bad?

In my home country of the Netherlands its legalized but in the US it's illegal why.

The US doesn't' really concern itself with what is and what isn't legal. The US just does it anyway.

This had to do with human trafficking where people mainly poor women and underage girls were tricked into starting a life full of oppurtunites in another country only to be realised they were sold into slavery and prostitution. They would be threatened, beaten and forced to have sex against their will and get very little or no money. Finding help would be difficult as they do not know the language, do not have access to a phone or they are scared to run or say anything as they would be constantly followed. Some people had no choice and needed the money so they became prostitutes and some are forced like I just mentioned earlier. It could also increase the levels of anti social behaviour in the area.

In the US prostitution is not considered victimless and it is considered demeaning. This is the opinion of a majority, not of all.
