Atheists don't hate God, how can they hate something that (they say) doesn't exist?
Everyone? I don't think so... fundamentalist Christians and Muslims maybe. But most people are smart enough to understand what an atheist is, and don't think it makes people bad.
Because the monotheistic religious nuts are the actual bad ones that contribute nothing to society but only with drugs, prostitution, and crime.
I read an article be the atheist Noam Chomsky who addressed this topic. In it, he points out that who he calls the new atheists are to blame. New atheists are the type of atheists who would enjoy telling a grieving mother that she will never see her dead child ever again. They are aggressive, adversarial, and abrasive.
I am an atheist but I have to say everyone doesn't. Most, regardless of religion, are not that stupid. What you are talking about is the minority of knuckle-dragging fundamentalists.
I don't think everyone assumes these things.
Only ignorant people assume these things.
Atheists do not hate God. They do not worship satan, nor are they bad people.
Christian
Total IGNORANCE!
Atheists cannot hate something they do not believe exists!
As for who worships the so called Devil look at all the terrible intolerance, hatred, bigotry, homophobia and persecution posted by Christians towards others! Ever seen a Satanist post such horrendous stuff? Of course not! Seems Christians have the good guy and bad guy the wrong way around!
Why do Christians post to suggest they are so morally unstable that is how they will behave if their faith wavers and become a danger to themselves and others?!
All the mass murderers and virtually all the serial rapists claim god told them to do it all!
Research shows that the reason humans struggle with emotion to find equitable solutions is pinpointed the region of the brain called the insular cortex, or insula, which is also the seat of emotional reactions.
The fact that the brain has such a robust response to unfairness shows that sensing unfairness is a basic evolved capacity.
The emotional response to unfairness pushes people from extreme inequity and drives them to be fair. This observation shows our basic impulse to be fair isn't a complicated thing that we learn.
It therefore fully illustrates that all humans have morals controlled by the brain and that Christians are entirely wrong to try and claim morals as their own!!!!
But Christians found a way round it!
Government statistics show that Christians are vastly over represented in prisons for sexual, violent and fraudulent crime whilst year on year government figures show atheists make up only 2% of the prison population!
The Catholic Church is paying millions in compensation for the sex/paedophile crimes of their priests alone!
Christians are vastly over represented in the divorce courts!
Christians invented the concept of sin and then the idea that you could sin, ask forgiveness, get pardoned and start with a clean sheet!
So no surprise that they are so expert at it is it‽
A Christian is a man that feels repentance on Sunday for what he did on Saturday and is going to do on Monday. - Thomas Russell Ybarra

Not bad...just birth injured.
Demonizing the enemy.
It's what you do when you can't defeat something.
Atheists believe that God doesn't exist. They don't worship Satan.
Atheists can be good because they still have the Christian influence
Not everyone thinks that way, but those who do... do so because then it is easier to vilify them, you know... it makes it easier to claim "look how bad/evil" these people are.
However, most of them do it because that's what they have been taught to think.
When they call people sinners they feel they are saintly or godly. When they assume others are bad they feel they are holier and sometimes even holier than the god they believe; also it is a feeling that they are so near to their god. Self deceiving as well as smug stupidity.
Why does everyone assume Atheists hate God and worship the Devil?
- Some idiot fundie said that years ago and other fundies never just regurgitate it not know how monumentally absurd it is.
How come people always assume they are bad people?
- Because they are not being lead around by the nose by an imaginary friend and to fundies that is evil.
I'm not religious but I do believe in a higher source. I don't blame athiests for believing as they do. Religion makes it difficult. Personally I think it would be better to stay open minded to whatever there may be.
I don't think all atheists hate God or worship Satan. An atheist is just someone who believes no God exists. Some hate the idea of God and others think it would be wonderful if God did exist but they just don't think it seems logical.
The Holy Spirit constantly influences people to do good and follow God's ways. Satan constantly tempts people to do evil. Some people follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit even though they do not think the existence of a deity is possible. Others give in to Satan's temptation even though they do not believe Satan exists.
Some people just do not like God or his ways. You don't have to believe God exists to reject him and his ways. While salvation is much easier for those who do believe in the existence of God, God doesn't limit himself. He is pleased when a person follows his laws because they were written on his heart or because he responds to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
You don't have to believe in the existence of Satan or the Holy Spirit to be influenced by them.
Not everybody assumes these things. There are many reasons why Atheism is viewed as a negative characteristic by the majority of society. The biggest one that most Atheists seem completely blind to is the smug nature it takes to tell people you are so smart that you have figured out God is not real. When you tell someone you are Atheist, you are also telling them you think you are very smart. Probably smarter than they are (unless of course they are a fellow Atheist).
Go ahead and test it out. Ask any Atheist you know if they believe they are in the top half of intelligence on this planet. After about the 100th "yes" you should start to see the group-think and universal ego trip at work. You will see the #1 reason even your fellow Atheists don't like you. Smugness.
We are all sinners. Being a Christian does not make me a good person. The Christian ethic is superior to any version of Atheist ethics, but the adherents are all flawed humans. All are in need of the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Have you read their questions and answers on R&S? Its not an assumption. No one is villifying atheists but atheists.
If you cant judge their intentions from their own statements what measurement would you suggest we use?
