why is my female friend jealous when I talk about girls?

I have a female friend who has a boyfriend, but she told me she is not happy with him. we hangout a lot and more than anyone else in her life i spend time with her. I asked her once if she wants something more than friendship and she started crying and finally said just friend. and I took it as an answer. but now days when I talk about any girl, she starts asking like, who is that girl, is she pretty? tell me more! why is she insisting on asking me these questions? why is she jealous when she told me she wants only friendship? should I try her again later?

sparkle is correct. the crying shouldve been a dead give away that it was a struggle for her to say "just friends".
you should not mention other girls in front of her.

I think she's just curious, not jealous. Whenever a guy friend tells me he likes a girl, I ask to see a pic of her and ask them to tell me more about her. I'm not jealous, I'm just curious lol. I think you have this girl all wrong, she's not jealous.

Although she is in a relationship, she might secretly like you. So the thought of you being attracted to other girls might annoy her. Or.....she doesn't like you but thinks that she is somehow in competition with the girls you like (a self-esteem problem). But honestly, the best way to know for sure is is call her and ask her. Once you know the truth, then you can think about a relationship with her.
