A company got hold of me that went to an interview a while back,they got back to me asking follow up questions before they make a decision. they said they would let me know in a weeks time,it came and went never heard anything,i followed up twice,the boss got back to me saying the position is on hold until she get back from over seas for a business trip in a months time.
is this not a bad sign?

Send them a thank you note and look for another job. The boss is taking a vacation and is going to decide if they even need to hire anyone for the job...meaning they may decide to do away with it and split the work between existing employees.

Hi yes it usually means they have not the right person to fill the vacancy.
