dy/dx = 2(x - 1)
dy = 2(x - 1) dx
∫dy = ∫2(x - 1) d(x - 1)
y = (x - 1)² + C …… [1]
(1, 0) lies on the curve.
Substitute x = 1 and y = 0 into [1] :
0 = (1 - 1)² + C
C = 0
The equation is :
y = (x - 1)²
dy = 2(x - 1) dx
∫dy = ∫2(x - 1) d(x - 1)
y = (x - 1)² + C …… [1]
