I went to deposit a check (394.94$) at an atm using my girlfriends account, I was depositing the check and I guess I didnt push the '3' key all the way and entered the check ammount as 4.94$. So what will happen with my $380 bucks? How do I fox this?

The bank will correct it automatically once the deposit is verified. You can call if you wish, however nothing will happen until the ATM is opened and the deposits are verified. This may take a few days as many ATMs are only serviced 2 or 3 times per week.
When the ATM is opened and the deposit envelopes are retrieved, two people will verify each deposit with the folio record from the ATM. Incorrect amounts are quite common, either from math errors (very common), fat-fingered entries on the ATM keypad (also quite common) or outright fraud.
Fraud crops up on cash deposits where the customer claims to have deposited more than what is in the envelope. This is one of the reasons for the strict 2-person requirement when verifying ATM deposits, both for fraud detection and cash control.
Errors are corrected on the spot and the customer is notified of the correction, usually by mail.

What will happen?
1. the bank will correct the error.
2. but you mean "her" money. Her account = Her money. If your girlfriend wishes to share it with you, she can. However, at this point, it's a gift to her.
Unless you walk her down the aisle, you shouldn't co-mingle your money.

Go into the bank and talk to the teller explaining the situation and see what amount was actually deposited. If need be, get a photocopy of the cashed check, (your personal or payroll?) and show them.

How do you "fox" this? I have no idea. Why do you sometimes put the dollar sign in the correct place and sometimes ignorantly put it in the wrong place. Do you make a LOT of mistakes?
