can you read this in Chinese?

紙(Paper)魂(the spirit of a dead person)悠久(long-lived).
Basically, it’s a jargon related to Daoism.
Just from the literal meaning, you can understand, there’s no need to delve into this phrase. We, Chinese, Taiwanese, most of us don’t know what is the function of this jargon-related ritual and when did the jargon-related ritual begin?

This is on its side, and needs to be rotated 90 degrees. The large characters are 悠久纸魂 (although perhaps not meant to be read in that order), the smaller sub-title is in a flowing script style that I can barely make out.

I know what those characters mean separately, and in certain combinations, I can't begin to imagine what the whole thing might mean.

It's a common practice to have words representing some philosophical tenets or ideology with a sub-title of some poem or phrase on the side, just as you see--but I can't make sense of this.
