4-5.
got my first job at 18 which was at a warehouse bakery just packaging bulk pastries and cookies and bread and cakes and shipping them. lasted only a year since i hated the owners and people i worked with very lazy people.
got my 2nd job in college at i think 22 years old it was at a concession stand worked that job for a year. it was okay but just the job itself was demeaning for me it felt like working at mcdonalds but much worse. customers were treating us like @ssholes, only 3 days a week sometimes 2 days or no days since the establishment was only open for events so it wasn't very steady just something for some money.
3rd job was in a japanese restaurant had to do an internship of 250 hours so i did it here it was very slow most nights it was dead and for lunch we got 5 customers if lucky usually 0-2 only. it was an okay place to work at but the head chef was a douche bag. your typical japanese chef very strict and old school. worked there for maybe 2-3 months before leaving it was just dead and the head chef would always talk down on me saying things that you would normally get fired for in any other business field as it is considered unprofessional but not in my field as it is still common today.
my current job i got after i left the japanese restaurant which is a very busy restaurant in a bowling alley. been working there a little over a year now it's good just really easy and LOTS of drama. im going to leave after another year because not much i can really learn from this place it feels like working at that concession stand job plus they force you to work a certain station if your really good at it rather then cross training people so it does get really repetitive and boring.
my 5th job is working with my dad he owns his on contracting business and works alone so on bigger jobs he forces me to work with him for free. been working with him all my life and hate it. he doesn't like to hire people to help him and when he does it's always like people of his family or like so called friends who have no experience in the field.
it's VERY common in my field to switch jobs constantly as you get better at it you get bored because it's basically the same shet every single day. i work as a chef. turn over rates are always high in this field. the restaurant i work at now the bowling alley one we get new workers every month mostly front of the house and dish washers but sometimes line cooks as well people just don't want to work hard for there money and eventually quit when they find out how hard you need to work in this restaurant. a couple people quit just after a day or less then a week of working with one girl who didn't even make it through a single day. she quit in about 3 hours.
7. The last one was for 32 years.
I was 16 forty years ago. It would take me a while to count up the jobs! A dozen to 15 at least.
