I have a science question that I don't understand how to do ??

Question:

In the term "oxygen-16", "16" is the mass number of the oxygen atoms.

Mass number is the total number of protons and neutrons.
In other words, the total number of protons and neutrons in the atom = 16
Hence, number of neutrons in the atom = 16 - 8 = 8

Each proton carries a positive charge, while each electron carries a negative charge.
In the neutron atom, number of electrons = number of protons = 8
