Full suit. As if you are applying for a Senior Loan Officer position. Dark color suit, pale pastel or white shirt. Closed toe-d shoes...no sandals or flip flops. Cover tattoos and wear conservative makeup if you wear makeup. Wear 'nude' or 'suntan' stockings if you wear a skirt.

Once you get the job, you can wear what the other tellers wear...or...if you would like the Senior Loan Officer position in a year or 2...keep dressing like it and be the bet teller you can be and you will get it. Banks promote from within...and some of them will pay for additional education to keep you there.

It is a very, VERY good place to be.

most banks now have people wear the same shirt with the bank logo on them, it probably doesn't matter for an interview
but when in doubt a suit is always a good choice

Sorry pearlmar you never wear to an interview what you may be wearing at work. Even if you are interviewing for a janitorial position you wear that suit and tie to an interview!
