when metal combine to acid what will it form?
回答 (3)
When a metal (which is more reactive than copper) reacts with a (non-oxidizing) dilute acid, a salt and hydrogen gas will be formed.
For example, zinc reacts with dilute hydrochloric acid to form zinc chloride (a salt) solution and hydrogen gas.
What metal and what acid?
PS wanszeto is right - but I assumed you were looking for a specific - shows what assuming does.
Remember the general equation
Acid + Metal = Salt + Hydrogen
e.g. 2HCl(aq) + 2Na(s) = 2NaCl(aq0 + H2(g)
Here are the other general equations to remember ;-
Acid + Alkali = Salt + Water
Acid + Base = Salt + Water
Acid + Carbonate = Salt + Water + Carbon Dioxide.
The difference between an Alkali & a Base is an Alkali is soluble and an Base is not soluble.
