indifference 同 apathy 的分別??

兩者都含有對事物缺乏感覺，indifference表明對事物缺乏感覺、關心與興趣
Apathy比前者更有理智與情緒上的無感(冷漠)，其源自天生懶散、事物干擾或身體機能失常，如長期疾病等。Apathy有點類似精神之麻痺。
Examples:
The volunteers were shocked at the city council's apparent indifference to the homeless problem/義工對市議會對遊民問題的不關心感到很驚訝.
Although Tom's mother knew that his apathy was the result of years of drug abuse, it was still hard for her to accept /雖然Tom的母親知道他的冷漠無感是多年濫用藥物的後遺症，她還是很難接受這事實.
