The problem is 3(3/5) to the 2nd power. I got 27/25 or 1 2/25 but the answer key says the answer is 12 24/25. Can someone help?

Method 1 :
[3 + (3/5)]²
= [(15/5) + (3/5)]²
= [18/5]²
= 18²/5²
= 324/25
= 12 + (24/25)

= 3.6²
= 12.96
= 12 + (96/100)
= 12 + 24/25

= 3² + 2*3*(3/5) + (3/5)²

= 9 + [3 + (3/5)] + (9/25)
