It sounds simple but I'm stupid so I need some help.

ok if a guy earns $15.00 an hour for mowing a lawn and his lawn mower can mow 25ft^2 per minute, then how long would it take to mow a lawn thats X ft^2 and how much would he earn

Thanks for the help m8 and have a good day

Area mowed per hour
= (25 ft²/min) × (60 min/h)
= 1500 ft²/h

Time taken to mow for a lawn of X ft²
= (X ft²) / (1500 ft/h)
= X/1500 h

Amount earned
= ($15.00 /h) × (X/1500 h)
= $(X/100)

if he mows 25 square feet a minute and needs to mow X total square feet of lawn, then divide X by 25 for the minutes he works, which I will call A. If he earns $15 per hour and has worked A minutes, then divide A by 60 and multiply that by 15 (or just divide A by four, which is faster).

i) X/25 minutes
ii) 0.25*X/25 =
$X/100

25 * 60 = 1500 ft^2 per hour

1/1500 = t /x
1500t = x
t = x/1500 hours to do x ft^2

15 * x/1500 = $x/100 => amount he earns to do x ft^2

x/25*1/60*15/1
