So, based on demonstrable numbers, how are the midterms looking? Is it too early to project?

The House is more of a toss up. The chance of Democrats gaining seats in the house is good, but the chances of them gaining the majority is slim. For the Senate, Republicans are most likely going to pick up seats. Many of the senate races are in states that currently have a democratic senator, but the state voted for Trump. I read an article on CNN the other week that said even if everything went perfect for the Democrats, the Republicans will still most likely hold the House by a slim margin and gain a few seats in the Senate.
Polls at this point are worthless. If you look back in history, polls always heavily favor democrats early on. Only when there's a few months until the race are the polls more reliable.

Are these "demonstrable numbers" from the same source that said that Trump had no path to 270? It looks like it to me. Maybe you need new pollsters.

Democrats keep calling white people racists and then expect to get their vote.
Democrats keep saying straight, white men, cause every problem on earth
Why would I vote for a party that hates me?

You learned nothing from the last election. It's full speed ahead with accusing people who disagree with socialism of being racist.
I don't see another Democrat getting elected President in my lifetime
