What are other good TV brands besides Samsung?

I want to get a 48-50 inch smart tv, but Samsungs are out of my price range. What other brands are comparable?

Sony would be comparable but probably even more expensive than Samsung...Your best bet would probably be LG or Sharp ...Panasonic would also be a good TV and comparable to Samsung but may not be any cheaper than the same quality Samsung models depending on what kind of deal you can get.....

Sony and LG are the next reliable tv in the market today. I would recommend you demo a tv at your local retail store before you purchase one. You can also read the reviews of customer who purchase the tv.
