Alot of weird people do it all the time, like a woman marrying a Ferris wheel or a man marrying a tree.

You won't commit a crime by going through some kind of marriage ceremony with an inanimate object, but you won't form a legal marriage either. The inanimate object won't legally be your spouse and won't have any legal rights or duties, just as you won't. But if it's just a matter of happiness, the desire to express your love for a thing, then go ahead and have a wedding. If no one's hurt, no one can object.

I don't mean to sound judgy, but some people have a really strange sense of how marriage works. How would you know that the inanimate object loves you in order for you to marry it? How would it be able to agree to marrying you ("I do" part)? Inanimate objects don't have feelings or the abilities to communicate and make decisions.

Of course not. Marriage requires consent. An inanimate object cannot consent. Any such purported ceremony is totally invalid.

No. To get married you have to have consent and an inanimate object cannot consent.

Not in the US. An inanimate object cannot say, "I do."

Well...what do you mean by "legal" and "marry"?
I mean: there's no law against anyone holding a wedding ceremony with an object.
On the other hand: no U.S. state will legally recognize such a marriage.
