A graph shows the points have moved along lines that converge at (1, -1).

The center of dilation is (1, -1).

The centre of dilation is at (1, -1) if A' is (-1, -1) and B' is (1, -3), with a dilation factor of 1/2.

The centre of dilation is at (-1/3, -8/3) if A' is (1, -3) and B' is (-1, -1), with a dilation factor of -1/2.

( 1 , - 1 ).......form the triangle ( -1,-3) , ( 1 ,-1 ) and ( 1 , -5 ) along with ( -1 , -1 ) ( 1 , -1 ) and ( 1 , - 3 )....you will then see a reduction factor of 1/4 for the areas { 1/2 for the lines }
