The ultimate purpose of fair trade is to improve the living of the producers. Therefore, fair trade products are expected to be sold in an more expensive price (to compensate the difference paid to the producers).

被剝削的人當然買不起一個沒有剝削人的商品，所以，要讓公平貿易變成普及性的商品，不只是需要規模經濟來降低生產成本，最根本是要投入那些被剝削的 窮人的權利運動。只有被剝削的窮人減少，才能增加沒有剝削他人的商品市場，當然，那些已經沒有被剝削的人，本來就應該購買不剝削他人的商品。
