Can soft pastel colors melt if they re left in a hot car for too long?

I bought my friend some soft pastel colors for her birthday but we re going somewhere for her birthday and we may stay at the place for a couple of hours. where I live it gets really hot +100 F so I wanted to know if they could possibly melt, thanks!

yes they could if they are wax based like crayons.

Yes they will definitely melt. Bring them down with you
